hidden sub options

hello, is there a way to choose for example a help topic, when clicked displays custom sub fields per topic. lets say topic one was new hire, when clicked showed info only for the new hire field versus a second option that said other, which displayed its own custom sub fields. ideas are appreciated, thanks very much.

hello, here are screenshots of the idea behind this. notice the drop down menu determines which additional information is displayed. if a user were to choose equipment, certain fields below would show up. alternatively if the user were to click new hire information specific to that choice would be displayed. hopefully these screenshots help.
