I have installed osTicket on Xampp and have it running on a Windows 2003 server. After a reduction on IT staff I am pretty much running the whole show by myself and want to be able to prioritize my tasks.
I will be using osTicket internally and would like to have the users reporting any issue (printer is not working, computer issues, etc.) by creating a troubleshooting ticket. On the IT depart there is only myself and my boss who will need access to see and modify all tickets. However, I would like to have managers from each department being able to see and being notified whenever someone from their department opens a new ticket.
I don't want the manager from accounting to see the tickets from the members of the marketing department as an example.
I am not sure how to accomplish this when only managers and IT have accounts on the system. Do I have to create an staff account for each employee and lock the account. Will I have to create a group for each employee and connect the group with the specific department?
