ticket from email with attachment - No such File?

Hi All

I am loving OS ticket however I am having a small issue with attachments from emails

I am using Centos 5 and apache 2

I am using pop to get the emails and the attachments get saved to a folder called attachments

the folder is chowned by apache and chmodded to 755

the attachments get imported fine but then are saved with a different name?

for instance

mia4.jpg got renamed to 468A95F7BE0A565_mia4.jpg (is it supposed to do that ?) then if I download the image using ftp I can open it without a problem

however if I try and view it via the supportpanel, the url looks like this:

www.mydomain.com/scp/attachment.php?id=4&ref=ec87877488269d3867512fa6e0cc1d0e(www.mydomain.com/scp/attachment.php?id=4&ref=ec87877488269d3867512fa6e0cc1d0e)

and I get an error that says "no such file"

any idea what is wrong?

I understand that theres no guarantee in getting help with some things, but if someone can point mein the general direction I'll even try to fix this myself but I just cant seem to find where to start to fix this problem, someone please help me :(

I've already been rapped on the knuckles twice by my boss because of this and I need some resolution or be forced to purchase a ticketing system that works out of the box.

anyone else having this problem should try running php with safemode OFF.
