I was hoping that a time-tracking feature could be implemented where the person working on the ticket could enter how many hours were spent on the ticket. This could be a blank field supporting 5 or 6 chars, and could represent the time in hours.

For example, on a long ticket, I would take note of the time started and enter something like: "5.5" for 5 hours and 30 minutes.

For a short ticket, I would use "0.25" for 15 minutes.

As I do most of my work on 15 minute intervals, and think this could help immensely.

i would also like to have this. if you could somehow combine osticket with toggl ((http://www.toggl.com)) you would have a very great thing

I did a series of mods previously posted on 1.6RC4 (yes...i bit back I know) that did time tracking...it works beautifully, and truthfully, I'm scared to death to try and move it forward to the current platform.

I'm going to spend some time in the next month to do two things.. see what changes I made vs original 1.6rc4 then see the changes between 1.6rc5, 1.6rc6 and 1.6stable.

That should give me a good idea of what's involved to upgrade to the current platform without breaking my existing system because that just can't happen. Day to day business and life depend on it.

Second item is an integration of contact info to SugarCRM's accounts and possibly more...stay tuned..this may be interesting.
