Email issue & sms alert

Dear House,

Am a newbie trying to make ensure that both sending of emails and SMS to phone from osticket work.I have like some few issues am facing presently:

1. Am having "IMAP doesnt exit. PHP must be compiled with IMAP enabled" anytime i tried to save under Email settings.

I also read from the forum that i might need to enable "extension=php_imap.dll" which i couldnt find in php.ini.

2. How can I add configure osticket to send email as sms to phone.

3. After knowing my wireless carrier, how can i implement this with the osticket?

PHP needs to be compiled with IMAP extensions enabled in order to fetch mail. It has nothing to do with sending mail.

As for SMS, that's a different beast entirely and not something osticket currently supports. You'd have to add that yourself and as for how to do it, there are as many different methods as there are SMS providers, so it really depends on which service you're using. I would suggest picking one and consulting their documentation first, then going from there.
