Can't upload .gz file type

Hi All,

Although my list of permitted file types to upload as attachments is as follows, the system does not actually allow .gz files to be uploaded - and errors out:

.doc,.pdf,.txt,.trc,.zip,.jpg,.gif,.rtf,.tar,.rar,.env,.hist,.gz,.log,.gzip,

Has anyone come across this before?

Our osTicket installation is hosted.

Appreciate any help you can offer.

Found a fix for this, in case this helps anyone else:

The problem line is this, in class.config.php:

$ext = strtolower(preg_replace("/.*\.(.{3,4})$/", "$1", $filename));

The file name is only allowed to select an extension 3 - 4 charaters in length. since .gz is only 2 characters, it doesn't match the regex. Therefore to fix this, it needs to be modified like this:

$ext = strtolower(preg_replace("/.*\.(.{2,4})$/", "$1", $filename));

Now the .gz file can upload properly.
