API tab in Setting menu in Admin

Hi,

I am new to OsTicket, I just integrated the Os Ticket for my client.

In admin panel, at "Setting" tab it has sub menus of "Preferences", "Attachments" and "API".

I am not clear about the API tab and how to use it. I checked with forums but can't get a good solution.

Please any one give some suggestion about this API tab and how to use it.

Thanks for your comments. Please let me know how can I create a new API key.

I would like to know whether it is like plug and play Or need to developed from my end.

If it is plug and play, where can I download and view the available API's?

Also, It should created by any individual programmer then if there any user guide to learn.

I'm not sure what more there is to clarify. You generate an API key by entering an IP address and clicking add, in the form that says "Add New IP."

As I said, there is no public API at this time. API keys are only used for authentication purposes with regards to remote email piping.
