Not emailing customer

Hey,

I installed OSticket locally to my pc and im having a problem getting it to send the email to the customer who submitted the ticket on the system.

The email address i went the system to send from is a Microsoft access or Google mail account.

Does anyone know how i can do this or have any instructions?

Check the instructions at the bottom for Gmail settings. You need to make sure you have SSL installed and properly configured, and that the proper ports are open.

Thanks for this but its still not working.

Im trying to use a Microsoft access account. This is hosted by my IPS

Under the settings i have

OWA = Enabled

Outlook access = Enabled

Active Sync = Enabled

PoP3 = Enabled

If i put a test php email script i get the following

"Warning: mail() : Failed to connect to mailserver at "localhost" port 25, verify your "SMTP" and "smtp_port" setting in php.ini or use ini_set() in C:\wamp\www\testemail.php on line 7

Mail Sent. "

Please note this is a local install of OSticket.

Anyone know how i can get this working? Easiest way as possible i do not really want to have to install a SMTP server.

Can anyone help with this? :(

incase anyone is haveing problems with this aswell it now works as i have install a SMTP software onto the PC thats running wamp.

I didnt have to enter any settings for this so im guessing installing this software opens the ports this function needs to be able to do this.
