missing tabs in admin panel (like other users)

I have the same problem as other user related to missing tabs (do a search in the installation forum on "missing tabs" to see others)

I describe the problem by pasting together what others have posted:

Once logged in (http://mydomain.com/support/scp/login.php(http://mydomain.com/support/scp/login.php)), I click the Admin Panel link in the upper right corner, the admin panel link becomes a link for the staff panel and I see the following tabs across the top of the scp/admin.php page...

Tickets | Knowledge Base | Directory | My Account

According to the screenshots available on osTicket's main site, this isn't the admin panel...

I checked the Database, I am Admin and the only person in the whole database, my isadmin, isvisible and isactive all three values in database are 1.

tried reuploading scp folder

I have also tried emptying cache, tried MS explore and Chrome. and i am using firefox

These pages do display:

When I try to add a new staff member I get "Unable to add the user. Internal error". I can't find any error logs to help explain this. Have I missed how to turn on error logging???

Environment:

Apache Tomcat/5.5.28

Os ticket 1.6 stable version.

Windows XP Pro

MySQL 5.0.51a

What am i doing wrong???

I give up using alternative.

Just FYI, I was not able to solve this problem.

I went with this alternative instead: http://www.hesk.com(http://www.hesk.com)

and forum: http://developers.phpjunkyard.com(http://developers.phpjunkyard.com)

Up and working with relative ease.

We really seem to be having an issue with the missing tabs in the admin panel which a lot of others are also complaining about!! There have been so many people trying to put this right but no solution seems to have been found as yet!! The post about each step that has been taken seems to be in perfect order!! I hope someone will be able to fix this sticky issue before it gets out of hand!!I was wondering if anyone could tell me which will be the best (vmware hosting) for business uses?

I personally have never run into this issue on multiple installations. Are you getting any errors in your php.log?

I would have guessed at first that it is a session issue.

has a lot of ideas on how to fix this. There is also a link in that thread by Peter (dev).

It could be bind session to IP which is also mentioned.

Doing the search that you describe results in a lot of hits, but the vast majority of them do not refer to the problem that you are describing.
