I've repeatedly enabled the auto-response settings only to have them automatically revert back to disabled. I don't know what's wrong.
Do the changes not save at all, or do they get saved, work for a while, and then later on get changed back?
They were saving, but when I'd switch over to the staff panel after switching back to admin panel the settings had reverted back to disabled. Tried again today and so far they haven't reverted back. Not sure why all of a sudden it's working but I'll take it.
