Ability to search within certain help topics

Currently I am implementing OSticket to replace the dated WonderDesk. So far I am thrilled with it and for that, thank you all for its development.

Would anybody be able to work with me in creating a way to search within certain help topics? I use the help topics to specify which products someone is using. It appears that you are not able to search the help topic field by default.

Am I missing something or is this not available? Any ideas for a solution?

Sorry if this has been discussed previously, I tried searching but could not find a discussion.

How are your programming skills?

It should be pretty easy to do this:

Add dropdown box to display topics in Advance Search

Check to see if helptopic is selected and if so add it to the sql lookup query

My programming skills are mostly non existent. I do however, have coworkers helping me that are very savvy php and sql developers.

Ill pass that along and see if this will be enough to get them going. Thanks for the start in the right direction.

I looked for this MOD but nobody answered with a code... I am going to start coding it now. If someone has this mod done, please post it

It could be added just in "Advanced Search", next to "Dept:".
