Increasing Length (# of Characters) of Ticket ID

Hello Everyone,

I setup a copy of OSTicket on my server but I was wondering if there was a way to make the ticket id's longer by default for example instead of ticket id: 123456 i could have 0123456789124. Currently I've just being logging into PHP MyAdmin and changing it manually but Ideally I would like it to create a ticket id of a certain length automatically.

i didn't try it, but i think you should edit the "main.inc.php" file in the root directory. Search for "define('EXT_TICKET_ID_LEN',6)" and change the Value 6 to the desired length (max. 11 as the DB field is restricted to that Value).

Will apply only, if you are using random ticket id's.
