Email piping with Google Apps ??

Hi,

i've installed osTicket through my cpanel at my hosting provider.

As I'm using google apps for emails, I've changed MX records at my hosting provider, too.

Now, i'm trying to forward my incoming emails at support@xxx.com to osTicket?

I've tried to setup IMAP and POP settings but I'm receiving always connection timeout ??

Am I doing something wrong here?

You can't pipe with google apps. You have to poll the mail server.

Already tried that one. But keep receiving next error message:

'Connection failed to gmail-pop.l.google.com,995: Connection timed out'

Any suggestions?

If you're sure all your info is correct, contact your web host and make sure they're not blocking that port.

Well Kelli, my hosting com didnt open firewall ports. Now its all ok!

This is something that we hear all the time – we have everything working in perfect order but can’t get through and it is only in the end that we find out that either our web host has blocked the firewall ports. So this is what I check out first before checking out the problem in my (fulfillment companies) site!! It is such a relief that an issue on hand is sorted out with much delay so that we can continue to work and deadlines can be met!!
