Duplicate ticket on "unreachable domain" e-mails

Hi All,

Most of the OST works fine for me.

However, whenever there is a bad e-mail sent (like, to anyone@slkjflsdkjklfsd.com) and it bounces back, it doesn't get tagged in OST.

In other words, OST creates a ticket for that e-mail, then doesn't remember that it did that, and then creates another ticket.

All "regular" e-mail works fine.

I have tried both POP3 and IMAP and it still has the same problem.

I'm also pretty sure it's not sending any "reply" e-mails (causing a loop).

ANy help is appreciated. It STOPS making the e-mail after i nuke it from my mailbox. But even if i delete it from the table, it still comes back.

I am POSITIVE that isn't happening. (This is because we have control over all of the website and e-mail servers).

If i leave it as it is, it keeps coming back.

If i delete the mail from the INBOX, then it doesn't come back.

There is only one e-mail message with that information in the inbox.

Does anyone else have this problem?

Unless it's like a mal-formed header or something, but even in that case, it should still process, shouldn't it?

Any help or ideas to look into are appreciated.

I cannot reproduce this problem with my mailserver. Possible Workaround: You could ban your majordomo-address (admin-account). Disadvantage is, that banned mails weren't deleted in your mailbox. I haven't found a good mod for this.

Not a bad idea.

Unfortunately, i tried it and it didn't work. It's still importing the e-mails despite the ban.

Error still occurs.

I changed over from auto-cron to an actual cron-job, but the same issue occurs.

If it's a failure-notice, it doesn't mark it and creates a new ticket later.

If it's a regular e-mail, then it's fine.

Anyone know what part of the code i could try to hack that might do this?

Possible Bug?

Some more experimentation.

1) When i add the e-mail into the banlist, it works fine.

2) I noticed it didn't take last time, because when i cut and pasted the e-mail address, it was truncated.

DOes anyone know if this might be causing issues? My FROM address is:

mailer-daemon@maknetmail1.inetu.net

and at least in the FROM address, it _looks_ like a 32-char limit.

Maybe this is causing a duplicate?

This issue has been resolved by Peter through a paid ticket.

Something about adjusting the mail-fetch because there will be errors if there is no message_id on the e-mail.
