How to setup incoming email parsing

Hello,

I have checked off "Enable POP/IMAP email fetch" Under Settings>Email Settings>Incoming Emails. But I don't see where I am supposed to specify which email account to parse.

Is the following the only literature on this matter?

Kindly tell me the steps I have to take to setup email parsing. Many thanks in advance for your help.

You have to use cronjobs...

But I have failed to fetch the mails, too...

Thanks for your reply. I have email fetch checked but I don't see any field where I can put in a port number or set the fetch intervals.

Could you please give me a screenshot of it?

It's in the settings for the email address, itself (admin panel > emails). You can enter login credentials, server info, ports, etc.

I have set up the System Admin Email Address that way.

Now how do I tell OSTicket to read from that email account?

There is a way to specify the email address for outgoing emails but I don't see the same settings for incoming emails.

I believe that Admin -> Settings -> Default System Email is where you pick which address to parse.

ntozier: I thought that's where all cases get forwarded to. Did you get this to work?

I personally only have 1 configured email address in osTicket (both SMTP and IMAP settings are in it). I deleted all the others to get email parsing to work. I haven't tried adding more back in yet. So it was more a guess than anything else.

If I get a chance I'll pout through the code later and see if that will illuminate me further on this subject. :)
