Setup of the "MailGate" for osTicket

Hello to Forum,

please is here somebody who can help me setup the "mail Gate" in osTicket?

I installed the software on Windows server 2003 and Apache2.2 and PHP 5.2.13.

I would like to use POP3 server for incoming mail and My ISP has SMTP server which need the authorisation.

I have, I think, all setuped right, but the mail not working. In the install folders is folder script which automail.php and pl. Shall I use it for the receiving mail?

Make sure you have a cron job running. Since you are running Windows than what you need to do is setup a Scheduled task to run the cron.php file. The easiet way is to have php run it since you already have it scheduled. So I have a scheduled task to run this: "D:\xampp\php\php.exe "D:\xampp\htdocs\support\api\cron.php."

Hello, I have all setuped right I think, but after run the script which you wrote the script show these message:

PHP Warning: mail(): SMTP server response: 550 5.7.1 ... Relaying denied. Proper authentication required. in C:\web\NEW\include\pear\Mail\mail.php on line 128

I have setuped in the menu:

Admin pannel -> Emails -> the mail Which I have setuped like MASTER.

There I have switched on teh YES for Authentication Required.

Please, where I can make the mistake?

Anyways sounds like it's not authenticating properply. If you tell it to use authentication for SMPT, than it will use the login credentials under Login info (optional).

Also is osticket sending the email using the email address you have setup or is it using another? (Hope that makes sense.)

If you can, we can write via Skype. The Skype name you have in Privat message.

So I think that The problem is, that I use the SMTP server which need the authentication.

But I have the problem that I can't to fetch the e-mail from the mailbox to the osticket.

When I run the cron.php from command line on Windows server, taht in the command line show the message which I wrote in first message.

I the mailbox the mail wasmarked like read, but in the OSTicket isn't any.

Sorry for not responding for awhile life is crazy. One thing you can also try is turn on the option "Enable cron calls on staff activity" this is found under the admin panel, under settings. If this still doesn't resolve the issue than definitly something funny with the email. What mail provider are you using?

Inbound mail is running, but SMTP NOT

Please, I have BIG problem with SMTP server setup.

I Use Windows XP with Apache 2.2, PHP 5.1 and Mysql 5.1,

So My problem Now is that:

in Admin Panel ->Settings -> Preferencies -> outgoing emails I have cosen the email, where I have added SMTP options.

In the admin panel -> emails -> The mail adress I have chosen enable for POP and SMTP servers and I have added the adresses for gmail account.

So I can receive mails, bud anytime the osTicket not send the outgoing mail.

I the preferences I have chosen enable of all outgoing mails.

When I Add new ticket and click on the button Submit ticket the system show me only blank page. When I added the SMTP to the email page after the Submit button click the system show me the blank page to. The settings for SMTP I have to add via myphp admin (directly in the databease)

The system sent the mail, when I have installed SMTP server which know to listen on the posrt 25 on localhost. But I haven't got the SMTP on localhost. I need to use the SMTP hosted on my ISP.

Please, here is anybody who can help me?

Fixed

Hi to all,

I Fixed the problem with SSL Gmail.

I had semicolon in php.ini before the value :;extension=php_openssl.dll

When I delete the semicolon, and restart service, the mail is running.
