SMTP on Windows Server

Hello,

hope to get help here. I use osTicket on a WindowsServer. Everything works fine. But I want to change the phpMail to SMTP. But this do not work. I got everytime a:

authentication failure

error. Mailserver works well. Login, Password, Port are ok. I used with servername and also localhost, but everytime the same error.

I think this SMTP setting are independent from php.ini ones?

Whats your setup look like?

for example:

Mail: MS Server 2008 w/ Exchange 2007 Ent

Webserver: MS Server 2003 w/ IIS6
