Fetal error: Cant connect to database.

A big problem on my server as some of my other pages including osTicket has now gotten an unable to connect to database error.

I checked all database names, users, and passwords. All seem the same.

The host "localhost" is still there, and always works... I even tried the IP of my server, but no go.

I restarted the MySQL server, and nothing resolved. I'm trying to look back and see if something I did last week may have caused it. But would anyone else know why this could be casuing it?

(NOTE: osTicket is not the only page on my website that can't connect. Blog, store page can't connect.)

If you're on a shared host, it could well be a resource issue, or perhaps your web host has changed something. If this just happened out of the blue and is affecting other pages as well, I'd start by checking the permissions on your various config files to be sure that the scripts can access them to get the db connection info. Other than that, I would suggest contacting your hosting provider, if I were you.

I have a VPS server.

I'll check the permission files and let you know what happens.

However, I changed one permission on a config file in one of the Joomla pages, and got the same result. (Changed to 644 so I can get the edited file in)
