url in email has line break in the middle

Hi all,

Just a little annoyance, any help would be wonderful.

Using the email templates, the url to access the tickets is formed with:

%url/view.php?e=%email&t=%ticket.

All good.

problem is that my URL is a bit long and so is the email address, this makes a line break form after x amount of characters, breaking the hyper-link.

http://www.xxxxxxxxxwwwwwww.com.au/repair/view.php=admin@qqqqqq.com&t(http://www.xxxxxxxxxwwwwwww.com.au/repair/view.php=admin@qqqqqq.com&t)

=433256.

with the line break immediately after the "&t".

Is that a line break or a carriage return or just word wrap....

arrrg! Just annoying.

As you can see it breaks the (dutch) words "getracht", "online" and of course the url...

Has anyone found a solution already? Or do I need to find this issue myself?

This only happens on a linux server, running osTicket on windows turns out to be fine... Let's investigate...

Well I've fout a temporary solution untill they fix the PHP mail() function for outgoing messages since it appears that the function works a little bit different on linux than on windows (guess because it uses the sendmail binary so you don't need the extra linebreaks or such?)...

Anyway, the solution is to use an SMTP server for outgoing messages :)

I was having the same problem and the issue got resolved when I downloaded the patch from (thread) (at the bottom of the page - you need to be logged in)
Hope this helps ..

Glad my fix helped :) Now we've just got to wait till all those fixes are incorporated (if they are still developing)...
