API to integrate osTicket into Thunderbird3

Hi everyone,

We are running oSticket at the office and I'd like to know if there is some sort of external API which I can use to code a Thunderbird 3 addon to add the tickets assigned to me to my TODO-List? Or has maybe someone coded such an extension?
