Incoming mail error - Swedish characters

Hi,

When someone send email to our support-email and the subject containes swedish characters i.e. "ä" the database cannot be updated!

I get this error notice in return;

Incorrect string value: 'xE4rende...' for column 'subject' at row 1

Is this fixable?
