Disable all outgoing mail?

Good afternoon...

I have been looking through the forums and, well, I think it is official, I'm a freak! There are all kinds of threads from people who are having trouble sending outgoing mail, but I have not found one anything that addresses me situation.

Out of curiosity, is there any way to disable all outgoing mail without actually disabling php mail? We're mainly using OSTicket for tracking which knowledgebase articles are being used most often. Since we have a few different people (with different levels of skill) using OSTicket, I think it would be best if I could completely disable outgoing mail out of OSTicket.

Is this possible? And, if so, would you mind helping me out?

I figured out a workaround - definitely not ideal but it does the trick.

Ditto, here. I've disabled every e-mail setting I can find but still get swamped with them. I actually had to blacklist osTicket in our spam filter to keep from annoying staff. Would love less drastic solution.
