Install the OSticket into each site, say in a support sub directory, then simply install each site and create a separate database for each site, or use one database with a different table prefix for each site.

I could use a hand in exactly how this could be done. I'm terrified that, if I make another installation - even in a sub-domain on the same server - that the existing database will be wiped out.
Is OS Ticket install through Fantastico smart enough to see an existing database and install a new one with a different name like Zen Cart does?
I really want to have another, unrelated installation of this fine product and use the skills I've developed in the last 4 months of hosting a site with it.
But, I can't imagine the horror of losing the current installation and having to try to restore from a backup.
Any ideas on how I could do this without jeoparding my existing installation?
