Hello,
I'm somewhat confused by upgrade instructions.
I have a 1.6RC5 installed and running since 2 months. I want to upgrade to 1.6 Stable.
It is said on the wiki :
1) Make sure you backup your site's database and files
2) It is recommended that you take the system offline during the upgrade
3) Maintain the directory hierarchy to make sure files are overwritten
4) Upload folder contains the osTicket files that need to be uploaded to your web server.
5) Do not overwrite your osconfig.php file or else you will lose your MySQL admin settings.
6) Do not upload files in scripts folder. Only useful for remote piping
1 & 2 : Make sense
3 : I understand here that i will need to overwrite anything with the new files included in the 1.6 Stable package.
This make sense too ...
4 : OK
5 : Argghhhh ... I have no osconfig.php file. Should I have one ? Where is it located ?
6 : OK
I understand that I need to overwrite
Is there any reason for which I did not have this dreaded osconfig.php file ?
I will wait before upgrading as I do not want to crash my site.
With thanxs for any help.
Rgds,
Thierry
