hey all, we're just beginning to use osTicket, and so far, so good.

but ....

that 1990's tabled-up front-end had to go! we're fine using the backend the way it looks -- it only needs to be usable, right? but the front end interface is our face to our clients, and as a development company that claims to be on the bleeding edge of web development, that client front-end needed an update. badly. i'm surprised there aren't more people complaining about this.

anyhow, check the interface:

EDIT - (please no bogus tickets to "test" it out -- this thing is live)

and here are some screenies of the ticket views:

and check the validation:

i'd be glad to offer up the php files if anyone is interested. i think this product is absolutely awesome, but i have a feeling everyone is probably more interested in the php/security/speed rather than squeaky clean markup and web standards (feel free to do a view source btw) ...

but ain't she sweet ...

done anything on the staff panel?

our frontend is original exept for form changes and linking it up against active directory to get computer info like serial number, model etc.

but started working on the staff panel first as i just hate the navigation as it is.

gone for a minimalistic design using no gfx files other than icons, sofar it looks like this:

nah, i just did these changes last night. but i have a sneaking suscpicion that my team is gonna start looking at the front and looking at the back and start looking at me like ... hey remember us?

Sweetness!

Would it be possible to grab the download for this?

Very nice!

Really Cool

wow... Its really cool... thumb up

the files

here are the files i think you'll need. i stripped out all our custom identity stuff -- but all you really need is the php files.

you're probably going to want to customize header and footer to build your own "wrapper". everything else should work like it does on our live site.

there are 3 css files.

global.css -> rmoves default browser styles and adds some basics

chrome -> styles everything outside of the "box"

osticket -> styles everything inside the "box"

enjoy!

Just a question: when I upgrade, does this customization disappear? Or is it an add-on to OSTicket?

I just started to implement OSTicket for our company and I want to adapt the front-end, so people know they are at our support page.

Regards, Jan

This is very sweet! Really like the formatting.

This is amazing,

took me a while to get it working due to my folders being slightly different.

Now im just trying out different images to see what they look like.

Thanks

helo sir, could you please share us the staff control panel design? thanks! this design is simply professional!

when you do an upgrade, i assume it will dissappear. unfortunately i did these changes to rc5 right after the latest stable version came out. any of you try using my files over the current stable version? is it plug and play?

sorry shinshigumi -- i only did the redesign for the front end. the scp interface has waaaay too much stuff going on to redevelop it, knowing that future upgrades may invalidate the hard work invested.

i really wish the entire system would switch to a super clean xhtml framework that is classed and id'd appropriately for designers and developers. that way we could just manage the one css file. that's just me.

This skin looks awesome! Well done :)

Do you have any plans to update it for the 1.6 release? Looks like the structure of things have changed a lot so it's not so easy to integrate now.

I'd really love to use/customize this for our company.

Thanks!

This is awesome, thank you.

Integrated into the latest version with zero problems.

Based on your comment, I just copied these files on top of my osTicket 1.6 system. Now the home page is blank and I do not find an error log. Did you have to do anything special to integrate it? Are you using v 1.6? thx

PS My problem went away. I think I had forgotten to upload some of the modified files. Sorry!

Double PS The styling is very nice. Thank you for this mod!

Awesome Mod. I have a couple of questions. How do I get the rounded edges on all forms as seen in the pic and how do I get the same color background as you are using. Looks great, thanks for giving it to all.

This is very Nice MOD and looking cool. can anybody explain me where exactly I have to change in index.php and Include/client files. Because I have modified the codes as per my needs and I do not want to loose anything.

Thanks in advance.

Image problems

Hi,

I am having a problem with adding a header logo/image to it. I've been fiddling in the CSS style sheets, the header PHP documents and it simply will not add.

The only time I succeeded was when the image added... but twice. Once in the header, and again inside "the box". I had to re-install all the components to get rid of it.

Any help would be grand!

Thanks

it worked for me on the latest version

hi,

this mod worked great for me on the 1.6 release, ive modified it here and there, slapped in a header image, changed the colours, made the 3 top buttons change colour on hover.

so thanks so much for this i would never have been able to go this far by myself.

big ups to you

that's beautiful, one thing how did you do gradient background? I only can change the background color but it look rather flat...
