Need to add Search to Client Side

I would like to add a Search box (like the one in the Staff view) to the Client view. My clients are long-term and enter a lot of tickets over time, so it would help them greatly to be able to search them. I am running v1.6 RC5.

Let me add that I am not a programmer, so please, if you have code for this, be gentle with me. ;)

Anyone done this?

Has anyone managed to do this? I'm trying to adapt the admin-side code, but keep getting zero results returned.

Any help greatly appreciated!
