I finally got OS Ticket to work on server 2008, it was a pain to get to work but eventually I did it..
Situation now is I dont know how to do the email.
What I have is:
- An Exchange server on domain, lets call it exsvr08
- A have a virtual machine running a webserver which hosts OS ticket and a website, lets call it virtual01 ( also on same domain as ex server)
- I can set things up but I'm iffy with things when it comes to networking, I did not set up the domain or the exchange server. Only thing I set up was the webserver and the VM of osticket (I have admin rights to network can change anything)
- So exchange server is on one machine and osticket on different machine in a vm
- My company has an online based email which everyone uses on one computer ex me@gmail.com
- Then we have a local box hooked up to a seperate network which is hooked up to the domain the exchange server and os ticket are connected to
- All users have 2 computers, and the networks CANNOT be tied together or connected in anyway. security reasons.
- The exchange server works, adding users through their active directory name, using smtp default port.
I just have no clue how to set anything up...
I would perfer not to configure .php files and just enter data into the form (picture attached) inside ostickets email tab. But if I have to I will to get this work.
- What I would like is to set up an account for about 200 users and have their user names for osticket to be the same as their active directory user names and emails. ex email staff.user1@localdomain.com username staff.user1
- We also have 3 admins I am one of them, the other 2 guys are older and busy with other things, I would like for the 3 of us though to get an email when someone makes a ticket.. Is this possible??
Thanks
