Who on this forum is a highly experienced OSTicket expert that can spare 30 minutes?

I've just reviewed the OSTicket Wiki and it's... well let's face it... terrible.

I would like to contribute to OSTicket by improving the Wiki so that it provides significantly more detail about how to configure OSTicket.

Many of the configuration options in OSTicket are confusing to a new user or are simply not explained at all.

What I need is one (maybe two) experienced OSTicket users I can get on skype with for 20-30 mins to run through all of the options.

I'll record the call, make notes and convert it into enhanced documentation for the Wiki that covers everything a new user needs to know + more detail on each of the options.

I'm happy to put in 5-6 hours doing this for the OSTicket community but I need an expert or two to interview to save me spending another 10-20 hours figuring out all the answers for myself by searchign or posting in the forums.

Anyone keen to step up and help out?

By the way.. I'm not a newbie. Much of my day to day work involves setting up websites for people using WordPress, Amember, Wish List Member, custom php code etc. I normally use Kayako as a helpdesk solution for clients but I'd much prefer to support an open source solution.

Please reply back and let me know if you'd like to help. It would be *awesome* if one of the developers would do this with me (knowing the software better than anyone), but any experienced person in the forums would be great.

We know the wiki's terrible. :) We haven't done much with it because the entire osTicket documentation is getting a complete rewrite after v1.6. The wiki's days are numbered (I'm just not at liberty to tell you what that number is... mostly because I'm not 100% sure, myself). If you want to add to it in the mean time, you're welcome to, but it's all going to change in the future.

I'm happy to help improve the documentation now and also very happy to help write documentation for the new version.

If you have about 20 mins that you could spare to have a quick chat on skype to enhance the documentation send me a PM. I'll make it super easy + fast by preparing a bunch of questions to send in advance. 90% of the configuration options are already obvious so it's just a few areas that really need further explanation and recommended usage guidelines.

Same goes for the upcoming version - if you'd like to talk about my helping write the documentation for that then drop me a PM.

Sorry. My post was a bit ambiguous.

I meant I've made my own list of questions and notes about what I think is confusing for new osTicket users. I'm looking for more feedback & suggestions so that I can start improving the documentation over the next week.
