email fetching

I am having problems with email fetching.. and if anyone can help that would be wonderful

I am hosting with Hostso.com (CPANEL) and my email is via google apps.

i can not get this to work if anyone has an work arounds or able to help me as im not 100% sure i am even trying correctly.

Can you clarify what you are trying to do.

Are you trying to set up the software to access an email account to create ticket#

Also I'm not familiar with Google Apps for email. Are you checking a gmail account?

How is your email stored and handled?

i am trying to set up to check my email via pop or imap everytime i try to set it up i get a time out error..

i have been searching and i found that i need to create cron..

i have no clue how to do this and im thinking this is my problem to why i cant same the settings in osticket.

My question about gmail is because there is a setting in gmail that allows your gmail account to function as a pop-account. If that is not set up then gmail will not work.

Let's go step by step, because I just installed this and got it working.

In the main settings screen for system preferences 0 Check the box that is near the upper section. "Enable Auto Cron:"

i gave up on this as i found out its my hosting provider...

so im not trying to set up email piping.. (wow was this much easier)

i set this up and got it to work on eticket however when i set it up for osticket *which i want to use* i get the there following error

well i just figured it out totally..

my host provider offers an auto install version which had some corrupt files.. i downloaded it from osticket.com and everything works with out any problems..
