IMAP doesn't exist. PHP must be compiled with IMAP enabled

Hello everyone,

I have recently installed osticket on my godaddy Linux server, I was setting up my email with POP/IMAP & I’m getting this error msg "IMAP doesn't exist. PHP must be compiled with IMAP enabled".

I have contacted godaddy support & they advice me that I have to enable IMAP myself using php.ini. I don't know how to do this; I’m very new to osticket. Or if there’s any different way to setup email in osticket please let me know. Please help.

Do you have access to the command line on your server? Which linux distribution are you running on your server?

The problem is that you need the imap module for php. If you're using a Fedora or similar distro, you may simply have to run this command: yum install php-imap
