short_open_tag

set up:

iis 6.0

windows 2003 64 bit server

mysql 5.1

php 5.2.11 (tried latest version but ran into problems)

latest os ticket v1.6 rc5

ok so i've finally got this going and when called the page in IE7 i get this short_open_tag must be set to on.

i've set the php.ini file "short_open_tag = On", restarted the services.

no joy....still going to he "OSTICKET requires SHORT OPEN TAGS enabled"..

i dont know where to find the htaccess or httpd.conf files if they are relevant to my setup.

any ideas would be great thanks...:)

just added the line

<?php phpinfo(); ?>

to a file named test.php and called ti from the web command line

am i missing the php5-mysql module as i can find it in the corresponding page when called.

how can i determine this from that page and is it relevant to IIs install (not using apache).

have added the htaccess file (to root - both wwwroot and osticket root just to be sure) and input code

php_flag short_open_tag on

restarted iisadmin service and webservice fron intemgr but still no joy

fixed it ...

the basic install puts the php.ini file in the php root folder

i noticed all the examples talked about it being in php\etc.

put copy of file in \etc directory and voila have reached the basic installation screen.
