Upload only some attachments. Weird

osTicket RC 1.5.4

for some reason the program only accepts some PDF files. it doesn't give me a "file to large; error. or any error at all.

where can I insert some echo statements to trouble shoot this.

some PDFs upload, others don't. It seems like those PDF's with more pages don't upload. even though the size is only 2.4 MB and the max allowed size in the admin page is 28 MB.

any thoughts?

two initial thoughts i have are, does your host limit your upload size or are any of those pdf files secured and copyrited. just a thought..

I'm hosting it myself on a Linux Ubuntu (8.04) box with apache2. I have another instance of osTicket on a hosted box, same issue. a certain PDF (which unfortunately I can't attached because of sensitive information), 2.41MB won't upload for either instance.

I thought maybe the PDF version was influential, but ruled that out. This is not a certified document, or copyrighted. I no it sounds newb-ish put it seems that whenever the number of pages exceed 30, the doc will not upload.

Where would i determine the max upload size for the host ???

Solved

At least this is solved for me.

Had to edit the PHP.ini file on the server to allow for uploads greater than 2 MB.

I had only set the upper limit in osTicket not at the php level.
