Default View of tickets

Hi,

This may have been tackled in the past but I just can't see the thread anymore.

I've set up OStickets on my domain and have applied some modifications to it already like adjusting the ticket number, showing who the tickets are assigned,

My so far everything seems to be working fine except that I get a default view on tickets as soon as i log on... this makes us do a query first before viewing the open tasks.

is there a way to bypass that and set the default view to "open tickets"?

any help would be much appreciated.

Open your login.php file, and find this code:

@header("Location: tickets.php");

then replace with this following code:

@header("Location: tickets.php?id=" . $ticketID . "");

Each time after your client/customer logged in, then the default view is the viewticket page according with the ticket number supplied on the login form.

Is that what you want?

I uploaded OS ticket to another domain of mine so that I can try and do the tweaks before transferring to our actual site.... Messed it up a couple of times already and the delays are causing set backs to our operation... I've followed your threads and have found them very helpful. I know I'm just missing out on something. Hope you can help me some more.

From the error message you gave, it seems that you have a wrong syntax in your SQL query. Perhaps it caused by the modification you did, somehow?

Please remove the "

This is your original syntax:

ticket.ticket_id ORDER BY <priority_urgency, ticket.created DESC LIMIT 0,25

change it become:

ticket.ticket_id ORDER BY priority_urgency, ticket.created DESC LIMIT 0,25

then try again.
