E-mail setting problem?

Hi,

I have a big problem, i searched your website, many people have the same problem but i didn't find the answer or i find a comment but no really a motto.

I have Fedora 11 and i installed osticket. also I installed php, mysql, phpmyadmin, vsftpd, php-imap and dovecot. I was at the firewall setting to and now it is DNS, FTP, IMAP over SSL, Mail (SMTP), POP-3 over SSL, Secure WWW(HTTPS), SSH and WWW(HTTP) open.

I was at the E-mail setting of osticket but i have always the same errors:

1 - Invalid login. Check POP settings (or Invalid login. Check IMAP settings)

2 - No such host as pop.mail.yahoo.com

3 - Failed to connect to smtp.mail.yahoo.com [SMTP: Failed to connect socket: fsockopen()

and i can not find "function.fsockopen" what is this and where is that?

i dont have fedora or even know what that is but when i ran into this problem its telling you it isnt communicating with the pop server when i ran into this problem i was using mail.mydomain.com on pop no ssl, then i tried ssl no luck then i tried imap with dns to my mail, and that worked so im not sure if the problem was the mail.domain.com instead of hostingaccount.host.com my imap used port 143 i believe.
