posting a new ticket returns to blank page

When a new ticket is created from the front end, my customer is returned to open.php and it is blank.

Yes.

Open your index.php file located on your root directory of your osTicket:

<form class="status_form" action="tickets.php" method="post">

then replace with this following code:

<form class="status_form" action="login.php" method="post">
