SMTP not working with my google apps email?

Hi,

Can any one please help me to configure smtp settings for ostiket 1.6?

I used in email settings:

Username: myemail@mydomain.com

pass: mypassword

Status : enabled

SMTP Host: ssl.smtp.gmail.com (I tried without ssl too!)

SMTP Port: 465

Authentication Required?: Yes / no both tried!

I failed to configure email for smtp with above settings!

Below error occured:

Failed to connect to ssl.smtp.gmail.com [SMTP: Failed to connect socket: fsockopen()

I tried smtp port: 587 then smtp error not happened but then shows below error:

IMAP doesn't exist. PHP must be compiled with IMAP enabled.

How to fix them?

Google Apps does not work for me with IMAP + SMTP. Always try to POP + SMTP
