I try to setup mail settings on osTicket but get the below error, any suggestion?

Mail Account

Port: 993

Protocol: Imap

SMTP Settings

I will be appreciate if you can help me with the Gmail setting, I always get "Can't open mailbox {imap.gmail.com/imap/ssl/novalidate-cert}INBOX: invalid remote specification".

yes have same issue, checked all details are correct and can access via gmail same username and password and via outlook and other clients

Can works on Thunderbird.

Hello, it can works on Thunderbird with the same setting, but faild on osTicket. please help.....

Fix

I had this issue was well.

On my server, it seemed that using the POP option, instead of the IMAP option fixed my problem.

Make sure you set the port 993 and turn the SSL on for connecting to Google.

We are using exchange 2003. There is no SSL support for POP or IMAP.

This is an issue with your server configuration, not osTicket. You need SSL support enabled. Contact your hosting provider or recompile PHP with ssl/imap-ssl

ok, i think the error was that osTicket runs under PHP 5.3.0, now POP works great with PHP 5.2.11. SMTP doesn't work now again, but i can use PHPMail so its not the big problem.

i hope that osTicket get in future fully compatible with PHP 5.3 and current Version of MYSQL.
