Changing cliet side page - reduce width of page

Okay I need some help.

I tried making changes and its not working and then the page is messed up.

This is what i'm trying to change.

I'm trying to fit the page within joomla without scroll bar at the bottom.

So i need to remove the white space in the middle and shrink the midth

What file do i edot and where , remove all the space and change color from current color to the blue

This is really a fairly simple thing to do, I'm surprised that one one has replied to this. To change the width edit the /styles/main.css file.
