In my organisation's implementation of osTicket, tickets are created exclusively by email. The web interface is not used.
I would like the phone number field to be filled automatically after a ticket has been created by email.
I have tried creating users through the directory function with phone number information and the appropriate email address, however when that user creates/updates a ticket by email it does not pull the phone number information from the directory and display it in the ticket. Do I need to do something to get an email address to 'match' to a user in the directory?
Am I missing something? Or is this actually additional functionality that needs implementing? Thanks everyone.
