Email setup problem with Exchange

Hi,

I have problems setting up pop3 email. I'm trying to set it up with our Exchange which is SSL enabled and uses certificates. Our webserver is not in the same environment. (yet the POP3 connection worked from a mail client on an external system.)

When I try to set up the new email address i get following error:

I assume it automatically tries to establish a secured connection (Port 995), since it worked with GMail. Never the less I also tried to force using this port by setting "Mail server: ", which resulted in a slightly different error: [Connection failed to <mail server>,<STRONG><s>**</s>995

I suspect that the problem persists, because we are using our own certificates on the exchange server.

So, is there a way to maybe generally accept certificates on the webserver(/in PHP)?

I know this is an old thread, but did you ever find a solution for this problem? I'm experiencing something similar.
