After 3 weeks of playing with OSTicket 1.6 my partner and I noticed that the timestamp on the notes and replys of the ticket are exactly one hour off of the sql database timezone setting. I thought that we had screwed something up so we went over all our settings and even verified the webhost server time and Mysql server timezone.
mySQL Server is on a machine in the central time zone. -6 verified.
OSTicket main preference timezone is central time zone -6 verified.
Staff and Admin (My Preferences) timezone setting is central time zone -6 verified.
When you create or update a ticket the timestamp is one hour behind the Mysql server time. Also... if you change the timezone setting in ANY of the staff or admin (My Preferences) menus then the change is GLOBAL for ALL users whether staff or admin... matter of fact changing the MAIN timezone preference seems to have absolutely no effect on the system at all.
Now... here is the weird part... if you adjust the (My Preferences) timezone to -5 and leave the Main preferences timezone to -6 then the system time stamps are perfectly matched when displayed to the screen... old timestamps are even updated for previous postings that were wrong before.
I have searched through both the bug listing and all 28 pages of this forum and cant find where this issue has been addressed. This leads me to believe that I am missing something obvious. HELP?
