where's 'install' directory?

After successful v1.6 installation, I am advised to remove 'install' directory. But, I can't it. Is it the 'setup' folder?

Also, i think it's a typo. It should have said, change permission to 444, not 644, to remove write access. Is that correct?

Hi Corey,

I have only newly set up osticket - about an hour ago via simple scripts on bluehost. I did not get any follow up instructions and I do not see them easily available in wiki or FAQ. Have seen the above starting thread here and am wondering what else I need to know (because I don't know where the ostconfig.php file is to edit it).

I also have a message on the web admin saying to delete files but before I go and wipe the "Set up folder" off the face of the public html - i would like to know (100%) i am doing the right thing!

Could you please direct me to a place where I can find out what I need to do post set up

ie Which files I need to edit/delete/change/anything else, etc and what the new setting are to be please.

After successful installation you should delete the /setup folder. (this means generally that you have installed the source, and then gone to yourdomain.ext/setup and run through that. Once you have run that it should tell you to delete the setup folder.

At the very least consider renaming it something that no normal human could guess the name of
