OSticket is a ticket software driven by PHP/MYSQL that will run on linux and windows based machines.
OSticket is a web based software that will allow a user or guest create tickets via a web browser and allow employees to track these tickets and keep users informed of the progress of a ticket.
If you are a novice user when it comes to web development or server support; the initial setup might be a little tough and if you are the only one tracking tickets you may be better off using a simple excel or openoffice document to create invoices for your customers.
What is your intent and need for OSticket and maybe we can point you to your next step?
Lets not talk about making a "Good looking ticket" lets talk about....
1. Is this for you or for a large company?
2. Will you allow outside users to be able to create tickets?
3. What details do you think will be important on the ticket?
For example,
I'm creating a website right now for a local PC support company that can take orders online and track their orders online. Technicians can remotely print invoices that are created per the ticket with logos.
Now, by default OS ticket doesn't have a few of these features. However on the forums I've found how to create a "Print view" button and how to add additional fields to the tickets.
It didn't come with the package but I received some good instructions on which files needed to be edited to get my desired results.
The beauty of OSticket is that it is customizable and it's developers will support you in your endeavors to enhance the software but they cannot customize the software to everyones needs and try to build-in features based off feedback in the feature request area of the forums.
