I created a email address help@mailguarder.com
Created the forwarder for it as per wiki but all messages sent help@mailguarder.com are bouncing.
Error message returned to sender says:
This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed:
pipe to |/home/virtual/mailguarder.com/www/support/api/pipe.php"
please advise.
I have solved the problem. I feel this info will help others also.
let us put it very simple.
1. 1st open notepad. and then
2. write the following text in it.
<?php
phpinfo();
?>
3. save this file as phpinfo.php
4. upload this phpinfo.php file to your api folder (please note that it is the same folder where we have pipe.php file )
NOTE: I have installed osticket at www.mailguarder.com/support(www.mailguarder.com/support) - so i uploaded the file at public-html/support/api
5. open your browser and call the php.info file
NOTE : in my case it was www.mailguarder.com/support/api/phpinfo.php(www.mailguarder.com/support/api/phpinfo.php)
6. roll down the file to find "SCRIPT_FILENAME" --- in front you will find the complete address of phpinfo.php
7. copy the location. , replace pipe.php with phpinfo.php
8. open the control panel (cpanel)
9. go to mail ---> forwarders ---> add forwarder
10. in forwarder address write the address of your pipe.php
Note : don't forget to use "|............" (must use quotes)
You are done
