i am getting this error when i try to edit the settings to activate pop3 email piping

but with the same details i can connect

I have the same problem
I found something about php_mcrypt.dll but my server is not windows.
I´m sure there is not a firewall.
I think something is missing in our installation with php.
help!
I asked my host provider. They said that osticket needs smtp from the server and in my case it is not available.
