Thanks for this MOD. This is something that probably should be worked into the base code - seems like something that everyone would need, no?

I'm going to add another hack to email all members that "Hey, I got this job - go look for other unclaimed open tickets.." Has anyone done that? It looks like I might be able to modify the URL when claiming the ticket to call an email function, but if someone has already done this, I'd rather re-use code than create new code. :-)

Very useful mod. Thanks a lot for sharing your effort with everyone.

I noticed that 'Claim Ticket' text appears when current user is not person who have assigned the ticket.

I think will be more valuable (for someone) if the 'Claim Ticket' text appearing just in case of the ticket is not assigned.

Anyway, great work!

I also added a place in the ticket, so it could be done.
in include/staff/viewticket.inc.php ~ line 102 change

I implemented this into my 1.6 ST osTicket....however I can't quite figure out where to put the code to let users select "Claim Ticket" on the main ticket view window. "tickets.php". None of the code in the 'snippets' provided here looks familiar to what I have in place. I do have the mod installed for 'assigned staff' and 'closed by' in place. If no staff is assigned it does say 'unassigned'. Does anyone have this link active on 1.6 ST on the 'tickets.php', and if so can you provide some assistance to help me make this work? The mod is fantastic....getting it on the 'tickets.php' page will make it phenomenal

It shows up inside the actual ticket. I personally would prefer it to be in the list of tickets really.
