any time someone tries to print a ticket thread they get a HTTP Error 500

Could literally be anything. 500 is generic and points to deeper issues. You need to check all logs (general server logs, webserver error logs, PHP error logs, MySQL/MariaDB error logs, osTicket System Logs, Browser Console logs, etc.) for any related errors.

Cheers.

This is the error I see
[Wed Sep 23 15:52:49.481502 2026] [php:error] [pid 952250] [client Ommited] PHP Fatal error: Trait "Mpdf\PsrLogAwareTrait\MpdfPsrLogAwareTrait" not found in /var/www/html/osTicket/upload/include/mpdf/vendor/mpdf/mpdf/src/Mpdf.php on line 28, referer: https://Ommited/scp/tickets.php?id=3100

That’s a new one.. in the core codebase that file does exist, the trait is namespaced correctly, and the main Mpdf file includes it And uses it correctly. So I think you may be having issues with file permissions/ownership, or maybe all the files didn’t get copied over during install/upgrade, or maybe even something like selinux.

I would first verify the file exists (here is the full path in source). If so then I’d check file permissions/ownership. If that all checks out then I’d start checking all other logs for any further hints.

Cheers.

Its working now.
needed to add permissions up to that file.
