Authentication Required

Good Morning/Afternoon, I installed osticket 1.18.3 on Windows Server 2022, using XAMPP, latest version. The helpdesk has been working fine. I am getting the Authentication Required message on scp/login page. I have created a self signed cert with https, cleared cookies, deleted seesions from ost-session, tried incognito. what is causing this and is there a confimed fix for clearing this message? Thank you

You would need to check the various different logs on the server and in osTicket system log table in the database for any related errors.

is it normal after a brand new install to have the scp login page to say Auththentication Required, i can login, just not sure if this is a problem i need to solve or is it just a friendly message.

I just watched a youtube video of osticket install by osticket, and Adriane had the same message. Does this mean that RED message is there intentially and is not a probelm i shoul dhave spent 3 days trying to solve. LOL

Dude.. yea lol The message is just the login box text. You can actually change this text if you want (Admin Panel > Settings > Agents > Templates > Sign-In Login Banner). As long as you can login you should be good.

I originally thought you meant you attempt a login first, it fails, and you get that message.

I get the same message too. I don't worry about it and login just fine.

Sorry, no. First time user of OSTicket. When I first went to the scp page to login the red text saying Auth Required appears alarming if you have not used the product. My immediate reaction was I did something wrong, then the logs say CSRF error, so i have been on the hunt for three full days troubleshooting a red message I didnt need to. Thank you for your feedback.
