Does not create tickets from email in 1.18.3

Pretty new to OSTICKET but a GREAT system! Running version1.18.3. Admin-> emails-Email-Account-Remote and SMTP are configured successfully. Php IMAP script gets email so not firewall or acct/psswd issue. I can see (from Gmail) that the emails are accessed but it does not create tickets. I'm using legacy authentication (not OATH2). I enabled the debug option in setting but don't see any errors.
Suggestions?

Have you enabled Email Fetching globally (Admin Panel > Emails > Settings > Email Fetching)? Have you created a cron job (Linux) or a scheduled task (windows)?
