Ticket Details Field Editability

I'm experiencing an issue with allowing end users edit the issue details field (issue is same for agents). Although I allow the option from the admin panel and save changes, it only display the issue summary field. I have attached the screenshots for reference (note that the attached image of editing ticket is end user's UI)

. Kindly let me know the code segments you need to analyse on this issue.

You’re using a modified version of osTicket. This forum is for core osTicket and core osTicket plugins only. You will need to retest using the vanilla version.

I've tested this with the vanilla version and ended up having the same results. Kindly look into this.

To edit a thread entry as an agent you click the dropdown arrows on the entry itself and select Edit. I’m not 100% certain that users can edit their thread entries. I’d have to take a further look when I’m back at the office. I believe the permission is there simply because the permission form is reused for every field.

Kindly confirm whether the end users are allowed to edit their thread entries.

They can edit their Issue Summary.
They cannot change/edit the Issue Details.

You can also add other fields and allow them to edit them.
example: Priority Level can be made visible and set to allow them to edit.
(Although I would not recommend this change.)
